Voter Education & PVC Guide

Your vote is your power. Ensure you are ready for election day with this quick guide.

1. Check Your PVC Status

You cannot vote without a valid Permanent Voter Card (PVC). Make sure your details are correct on the INEC portal before election day.

2. Know Your Polling Unit (Atiba)

Atiba Local Government has 10 wards. Your specific polling unit is written on your PVC. On election day, you must go to this exact location to cast your vote.

3. How to Vote Correctly

Avoid a voided (rejected) vote by following these rules:

Use the index finger provided by the INEC official.
Ensure the ink does not cross the lines of the box provided for the party.
Do not write your name or make any other mark on the ballot paper.
Fold the ballot paper vertically so the ink does not stain another party's box.
